I am an Assistant Professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. I am an empirical microeconomist working on questions in health, political economy, and development, and I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto.
One strand of my research studies the consequences of partisan local elections for electoral competition, candidate selection, and governance. A second strand examines how electoral and judicial institutions shape gendered access to healthcare and justice.
